Today the 2018 Winter Classic logo was unveiled & it had a different look this time around. It still had the city of New York on display but it was a giant "X" taking most of the attention. The "X" of course, symbolizes the 10 year anniversary of this event. The first one happened in 2008 between the Buffalo Sabres & Pittsburgh Penguins. And now the Sabres return to play the NY Rangers in this anniversary game!
Also getting unveiled were some new logos for both the Sabres & Rangers which haven't been seen before - although they do have a vintage look - that will be used as either the primary or secondary logos for their Winter Classic jerseys. The new jerseys will be unveiled at a later date - most likely in November.
